The church is not a building in which people meet on Sundays – certainly not in our case where we rent another space for a few hours on Sunday mornings! It is a living, breathing body – the Body of Christ. We, at Morning Star, strive to be a community of people who dwell richly in Jesus Christ, growing spiritually through participation in worship, study, prayer and fellowship – building bonds of friendship.

Key elements in our congregational life include:

• Social Gatherings picnics, sporting events, potluck suppers, day trips, cultural outings
• Small Group Ministry in-home Bible study, men's weekly fellowship and prayer, women's monthly Bible study, prayer and fellowship
• Congregational Care prayer chain, visiting the sick and homebound, grief support, support during family crisis
• Communications monthly newsletter, flyers, worship bulletins, door hangers

Future plans include:

• Family development and parenting support groups
• Retreats get-away trips for prayer, experiential learning, spiritual growth, building friendships
