Studying the Word of God and its description of the work of Jesus is an important cornerstone for a community of faith as well as for personal spiritual growth.

Through Sunday School classes and midweek Bible studies, you will:

  • become familiar with the flow of the story of God's relationship with humankind;
  • gain or sharpen valuable Bible study skills;
  • see your life experiences – sorrows, joys, relationships, and spiritual search – as a part of the ongoing story of the people of God;
  • enjoy study, fellowship, prayer and service with other people involved at Morning Star.

Some studies will be topical, following a theme through various settings in the Old or New Testaments. Some studies use a video series or focus on current events as they parallel life in the early church. All will shed some light on the choices we make today.

Sunday Mornings for Children
At 9:00 A.M. each Sunday, while adults are in class, Bible Quest classes for children, are offered. They have a chance to hear Bible stories told in new and fresh ways as they explore God's activity in the world and in their lives through art, music, games, and other study materials. It is a time for even the youngest children to begin to build a special, lifetime relationship with adult Christians, a church family, and most importantly, with Jesus Christ.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH is offered during the worship time for kids. We encourage children (beginning at about 4 years old) to be a part of our faith community by attending worship for the first portion of the service, then go together for Christian learning in a fun, faith-building environment designed to fill their hearts and minds with God's love.

PROFESSIONAL CHILDCARE for infants and preschoolers is offered throughout the morning in our nursery in an adjacent room. The children have a chance to hear a Bible story, do finger plays, listen to music, sometimes do a craft, and enjoy playing.
